Heraldica's Mythological Ladies' Ring Collection The original engraving was described in a museum catalog as: Apollo is standing in an easy attitude, his weight on the left leg, one arm resting on a pillar. In his right hand he holds a bow; a mantle is slung over the left arm. The figure is probably copied from an early fourth century statue. Roman intaglio, Peridot ringstone, 22mm. Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
